A very disturbing post, mainly because this is the first one you've put up where I have most of what you list!

Bay City Rollers -- from back when manufactured bubblegum pop was GOOD, they were just a very underrated band. Sure, they'll never get the rnr hall of fame, but maybe the mindlessly entertaining hall of fame.

Elastica -- a bit hit and miss for me but I do have a number of their singles.

Flying Lizards -- I keep rediscovering how good these guys were.

Need to get the Fugs album, the expanded Penthouse & Pavement, and the remasterd Captain Fantastic -- I must confess I really quite like most everything Elton did up to the point of CF, and loathed most of what came after it.

Got the Rain Tree Crow (lovely!), the Magazine and the (original CD issue) of the Python record (need to get the expanded one now), the Rezillos, the Ringo and the Ultravox. This has to be some kind of record! :)

Chas-san,

BCR was for my "UK glam rock" CD collection; I am a big fan of the 2nd Elastica album; Still hunting for the 2nd Flying Lizards album "Fourth Wall" - but I have the other three; I recommend all 3 x ESP Disk label FUGS CD's - I think I have their entire recorded output on CD now; the expanded "Penthouse & Pavement" is wonderful; I have been doing the '95 re-mastered EJ titles for a while now, best one is "11-17-70", I will be done with his CD catalog soon; I think the RTC is a re-mastered version (who knew?); the Python re-masters are strictly for the bonus tracks, but I now have all the studio albums as re-masters; you should own as much Revillos / Rezillos as possible; the Ringo is great, love the DVD - but you still need proper CD's of "Goodnight Vienna" and "Ringo"; i stand by the first 3 x Ultravox titles, as today's blog entry will attest. Thanks for reading, Chas-san!
