The Label

Fascinating reading, this book. The introduction of LP's in '48, stereo in '58...right now, I'm at the point where they are recording (and re-recording) all manner of Original Cast and Original Soundtracks. This book made me scramble to get out my 26 CD "Soundtrack For A Century" Sony boxed set - I actually sat through the whole "Classical Vol. 1" disc! Wow, Juilliard String Quartet playing Bartok in '49!
