Caught my eye:
STEVE MILLER BAND – Rock Love (Captiol SW-748)
O.S.T. –
A full year after his death came this Jimi Hendrix original soundtrack LP – and some of it’s pretty good, too. I knew Steve Miller from his “Livin’ In The USA” single, but this LP made little or no impact on me at the time, apart from noting that he was still making records.
Also of interest:
NOKIE EDWARDS – Nokie (Cream 9006)
KRIS KRISTOFFERSON – Me & Bobby McGee (Monument Z-30817)
LETTERMEN – Love Book (Captiol ST-836)
WET WILLIE (Capricorn 861)
Nokie must’ve already been a big deal in
Notable singles:
ERIC BURDON & JIMMY WITHERSPOON – Headin’ For Home b/w
CURVED AIR – Back Street Luv b/w Everdance (Warner 7519)
SPIKE JONES – Dance Of The Hours b/w William Tell Overture (RCA 74-0532) re-issue
LIGHTHOUSE – One Fine Morning b/w Little Kind Words (Evolution 1048)
McGUINNESS-FLINT – Happy Birthday Ruthie Baby b/w Friends Of Mine (Capitol 3186)
GILBERT O’SULLIVAN – We Will b/w I Don’t Know What To Do (Mam 3613)
Eric Burdon gets blacker; UK prog rockers Curved Air get a US single from their 2nd album; Re-issue for Spike Jones, doubtlessly behind a “Greatest Hits” LP for RCA; Here’s that McGuinness-Flint single I keep going on about; And a Gilby single before “Alone Again (Naturally)”. First issue of "One Fine Morning?"
