Hermeto Pascoal

1-9-09 Hermeto Pascoal

I can easily say that the best concert I have seen in the last 10 years was at UCLA in West Los Angeles by Brazilian master musician Hermeto Pascoal. Pascoal and his band played for over 2 hours – I was (and am) astonished). Music is not a problem for Mr. Pascoal – he can make music on anything – whether it’s a musical instrument or not! I once met him on a train platform in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

My discography is not complete – I wish it were! My thanks to Bob Gaulke for being a facilitator in helping me find CD’s of Conjunto Som 4 and Quarteto Novo. I hold Mr. Pascoal in the highest possible regard. Do yourself a favor: check out “Slave’s Mass” or “So Nao Toca Quen Nao Quer” (both are on CD and somewhat available).
