There were no giant hits from England in America in 1963.The ‘beat boom’ gets going great guns – and the US does not much notice. The US did, however, have some non-US giant hits – notably Kyu Sakamoto (Japan) “Sukiyaki” and The Singing Nun (Belgium) “Dominique”.
In England, the ‘beat boom’ moved forward – the big hits:

The “Also rans”: Cliff Richard & The Shadows, Frank Ifield, Jet Harris & Tony Meehan (“Diamonds”), and – in this reporter’s opinion – Brian Poole & The Tremeloes.
Whole lotta Brian Epstein going on!Liverpool time now! Many of the above titles charted in the
US, in 1964!It’s like the US got to re-live 1963 in 1964, once The Beatles hit!
Things get a little bit nuts in 1964 – so much going on!
