Dutch female vocalist, singer / songwriter. On one of my first visits to Holland, I was invited to see her perform at Boudisque Records – was I jet-lagged? I didn’t go. A number of years later, I got to meet Ms. Lovsky – she was very gracious to my many questions about her career – and she introduced me to Frits Jonker (who gave me a big stack of ‘crap singles’ – a passion Frits and I share!). I have many 7” singles by Fay, but I’ve only listed her totally non-LP “Automatic Pilot”.

In 1996, Basta Records re-issued her Idiot label records as gorgeous CD’s – but they got the wrong version of “Goodnight Gallileo”! Can’t win ‘em all.

I particularly recommend “Confetti” – it’s a lovely ‘girl pop’ record, and it forever has a special place in my heart. These days, she is even making Dutch-language CD’s – which I think is fabulous. But I have yet to mail-order any of them, and I haven’t seen any of her recent releases for sale either here (California) or in Japan.
