Rupert Hine

I am a big fan of Rupert Hine. I found this promo photo from '81 in a nice promo sleeve for the A&M LP "Immunity". I am a great fan of this LP.

Re: Immunity.

Hell YEAH! I only like the first Thinkman better.

Is that perhaps because you first encountered the first Thinkman on CD?

I love RH's trio of A&M LP's. Great stuff. The trio of Thinkman albums, a little less so.

Actually, Immunity I heard when it came out. It was my first Rupert Hine and made me a fan. I just like the material and playing better on The Formula. Now my 2nd RH pick would be "Immunity!" The other 2 Thinkman records got watered down real fast, in my opinion. BUT... I have never had "Waving Not Drowning" in any form yet! That may be because I have never seen it for sale in any form.

"Waving Not Drowning" is very, very good...I highly recommend it. I'll see if I have an LP of it laying around. I used to buy them all the time, when I saw 'orphans' of them in the $1 bin.
