You asked what I'm listening to, so here goes:
Stuck in my head: "Crane Wife #3" by the Decemberists. Lead track of the album, shimmering beauty.
On my desk: "Wake" by Dead Can Dance. My wife is the DCD fan more than me, but she got this one because a) it's a good overview and b) has tracks from The Lotus Eaters, their abandoned 1998 album (they divorced instead).
All I can say is that the tracks from the Lotus Eaters sessions were much better than almost anything else on this 2CD set, makes me sad that they didn't allow themselves the chance to progress. I prefer Bel Canto to these guys, ultimately.
Eagerly awaiting my Amazon shipment of new John Foxx goodness! I have a lot of catching up to do!
Which John Foxx titles did you order, Chas-san? I can only really recommend Metamatic and The Garden.
I never really did DCD (or Bel Canto), but am fully aware of both.
